Hoodia Health – Is Hoodia The Real Deal?

It is a shame, but obesity has become a national epidemic and people everywhere are trying to shed some pounds and for some people many more.  There are many different weight loss products on the market these days and unfortunately most of them don’t work but still people keep looking for a magic answer to their weight problem.  When Hoodia first entered the market everyone rushed to see if this new product was what they were looking for.

So what is Hoodia?

The Hoodia Gordonii plant is from the succulent family and it grows in the South African desert.  Bushmen in South Africa have used Hoodia for thousands of years to stave off hunger and thirst when they went on long hunting trips.  It was only in more recent years that Hoodia was introduced to the rest of the world and since then there have been a number of tests performed to see if it does what it is claimed to do.

Most diet pills these days work by increasing the rate at which the body burns fat.  Calories fuel the body so if it is possible to get the body to burn those calories into fat faster then we can lose weight right???  Well, this might work for a little while, but just like with anything else, if you burn your body too fast for too long, it will burn out.   Then there were some other pills that came onto the market that contained a product called Ephedra.  Ephedra caused some very serious health risks such as stroke and heart attacks so this product was taken off the market due to the health risks involved.

The difference with Hoodia is that it is a completely natural product and has no side effects.  It doesn’t work by making your body burn calories faster so it doesn’t burn you out.  Hoodia is a natural suppressant so it works by suppressing your appetite.  So basically you just don’t feel as hungry as normal and as a result you will eat less.  Hoodia fools your brain into thinking that you stomach is full so that you don’t feel hungry and then will consume less calories.

With all the testing done on Hoodia it has been shown that people using Hoodia have lost weight and have reported that they did in fact feel less hungry while taking Hoodia and as a result ate less.  There were also no side effects recorded while taking Hoodia.

So Hoodia Gordonii may in fact be the ‘real deal’ that people have been looking for.  The hardest part about dieting is the constant hunger, so imagine how much easier it would be to not feel that hunger.  It is completely natural, has no side effects and it works.  Hoodia is the “real deal” to aid people in weight loss.
